Challenges in Liberia
Liberia grapples with a substantial infrastructure deficit, particularly pronounced in its remote rural enclaves. Within these increasingly isolated communities, an urgent and substantial demand arises for an encompassing initiative focused on constructing classrooms and providing teacher training.
Many of the current structures we have encountered are trapped in a dire state of disrepair. These classroom buildings not only become uninhabitable during the rainy season, but they also teeter perilously on the brink of collapse, posing imminent threats to the safety of those within.
Hence, the call to action resounds loudly. It beckons us to unite in addressing these fundamental challenges that obstruct progress and deny opportunities. By erecting functional classrooms, imparting essential teacher training, we have the capacity to pave the way for a brighter future, where education flourishes, communities thrive, and safety remains uncompromised.
Healthy and Motivated Students
Children in our school were reported as being healthier and better motivated. Academic results were noted across the board as having improved significantly. There is less absenteeism and punctuality is much better.
Empowering girls
A growing number of girls are enrolling in schools and continuing their education journey through Mantee and David. The trend of girls leaving school prematurely for early marriages is diminishing, thanks to this positive shift. The introduction of enhanced new school building facilities will played a crucial role in enabling girls to remain in school even after reaching puberty.
The active involvement of girls in our initiatives, coupled with the dedicated support they receive, has brought about notable enhancements within both educational institutions and households.

Growing School
Mantee & David School’s journey has been a resounding testament to the power of growth and determination. In the span of just a year or two since its inception, our humble beginnings, graced by two teachers and a cohort of 25 students, have blossomed into a remarkable narrative of progress. With unwavering zeal, we now proudly stand as a nurturing haven for a remarkable 300 students, guided by a dedicated team of six teachers. This surge, marked by a %1200 increase, is a beacon of our collective resilience.
The most awe-inspiring chapter in our story unfolded between 2020 and 2023, as our student numbers took an exponential leap, soaring from 25 to an astounding 300, representing a %1100 growth. This achievement reverberates with the spirit of possibility and affirms that when dreams are nurtured, they flourish beyond measure.
